Topography: The topography is very diverse. It ranges from mesquite and shinnery flats, to steep bluffs overlooking the river. Elevations range from 1800 feet, to 1600 feet at the river bottom.
Cover: The cover in the area consists of everything from very thick shinnery, to mesquite and cedar pasture, to semi-open CRP land. There are some very good areas to develop food plots.
FSA Program: Approximately 250 acres enrolled in CRP through Sept. 30th, 2009. This payment is approximately $7,790/year.
Hunting: This area has an abundance of Whitetail Deer, Quail, Turkey, and Feral Hogs. Owners have seen Mule Deer on this place. Many species of predatory animals include Coyotes, Bobcats, Fox, etc… A large cat has been spotted crossing the river as recently as Aug. 2008. Feeders and blinds can convey with this property!
