JW Jones

JW has been in the real estate business for nearly 30 years owning rental properties and purchasing investment properties. JW is excited to now be involved in the business as an agent.

JW has been in the animal feed sales for 40 years and brings his years of sales experience and customer service with him to Ekdahl Nelson. He looks forward to meeting his client’s needs and being a guide to them along their property ownership journey.

JW grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. He then attended Sam Houston State University where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s in agricultural education. JW started rodeoing when he was 13 and retired at 35. At Sam Houston, JW went to the college national finals two years in a row. He won the Southern Region of the NIRA in saddle bronc riding, and currently has a gold card in the PRCA.

He and his wife Shelia currently reside in Tuscola, where they operate a small wheat and cattle operation. They are members of the First Baptist Church of Buffalo Gap, where they have served in various roles.
