Location: Lost Canyon Ranch is located in the northwest part of Stonewall County in big ranch country. Drive time from Fort Worth is approximately 3.5 hours, Lubbock is 2 hours and Midland is about 2.5 hours.

Acreage: The ranch is 778± acres and includes approximately 80± acres of cultivated land which is perfect for a wheat and sunflower field. The balance is native mesquite pasture, which has been mostly untouched for decades.

Topography: Folks, this one is pretty! The topography is nearly level on the east side and rolls into deep steep canyons on the west. There is right at 100 feet of elevation on the ranch, allowing for some pretty dramatic views across Stonewall County!

Rainfall/Elevation: The average annual rainfall for Stonewall County is 23.8 inches according to the Texas Almanac online.

Cover: The ranch has beautiful habitat for all of our local wildlife species. Most of the cover is mesquite and cedar with scattered hackberries and chinaberries in the draws. The soil types support many varieties of browse plants as well. It has only been lightly grazed over the last 15 years, so there is plenty of grass and forbs as well.

Fences: Fences are barbed wire and in good to excellent condition. The south boundary will require a new fence.

Utilities: Electricity is provided by South Plains Electric and is in place on the property.

Water: Water is provided by one well that is piped to two cement troughs and one large stock tank. From looking at the wells in the area, it is likely that other wells can be found. Also, there are parts of the canyons that appear to hold water for long periods of time in normal rainfall years.

Hunting: The Lost Canyon Ranch is part of a much larger ranch that has been in the MLDP program and strictly managed for the past 15 years. The hunting should be amazing and includes whitetail deer, bob white quail, turkeys and feral hogs.

Minerals: All owned minerals will transfer with an acceptable contract. The seller believes to own approximately 25% of the mineral estate, but no research has been done. There is no production on the ranch.

Price: The property is priced at $1,995 per acre for a total price of $1,556,100.
