Whiteghost River Ranch
Whiteghost River Ranch has just about everything you could want! Ranging from deep, rough canyons with spring-fed creeks to bottom land on the Salt Fork of the Brazos, this ranch will blow you away! Come stretch your eyes!
Location: This property is located about 12 miles north of Aspermont just off of US Highway 83. It is 45 miles East of Jayton, 75 miles Northwest of Abilene, 130 miles Southeast of Lubbock, or 220 miles West of Ft. Worth.
Acreage: 802+/- Acres all in Native Mesquite and Cedar pasture.
Improvements: There is an old cabin on the property that will work for temporary shelter. Fences are barbed wire and are in good condition.
Water: This ranch has over a mile of frontage on the Salt Fork of the Brazos which is great for wildlife! Also, there are four earth tanks, several springs and a new water well.
Topography: This ranch has a varying topography. There is everything from level grass land, to cedar breaks, and river bottom land. There are miles long views from several points on this ranch.
Cover: This ranch has a wide variety of cover. The majority of the cover is Mesquite and Cedar pasture. The ranch is loaded with different types of browse such as Skunk bush Sumac and Little Leaf Sumac. This ranch was involved in the Swenson fire of 2011. Not all of the ranch burned.
Hunting: This property is located in an area known to produce quality Whitetail Deer and strong numbers of Bobwhite Quail. There is a herd of Elk that has begun to populate the area as well as other exotic species. There is also an abundance of Feral Hogs, and you may see an occasional Mule Deer. Predators in the area include Coyotes, Bobcats, and an occasional Mountain Lion.
Minerals: A small portion of minerals can be available with an acceptable contract. There are several producing oil wells on the property.
Utilities: Electricity is in place on the property.
